Pervy Vicars

Just when it seemed I was turning into a blog pro I stopped blogging!

We've recently finished filming a handful of our favourite sketches, the filming was eventful. I was convinced that if each sketch was about 5 minutes long then they'd each take about 20 minutes to film....no, no, no. I was very wrong. We've just finished editing the pervy Vicar one, it's taken all day! This technology lark takes longer than I thought. Just another 8 to go!

Some of our sketches will be performed in Cofilmics Sketch In The City at the end of this month. We're looking forward to seeing how other people will perform our sketches. We'll try not to shout 'You're doing it all wrong!'

We've started writing our next show, Job Seekers. It will be performed at the lovely 3 Minute Theatre on the 15th of August. Luckily our obsession of fat kid documentaries is kind of over so we can concentrate on writing the show.

Have a cheeky little look of The Vicar sketch video....

Now that 'love Factually' is done and dusted for now, it's time to start thinking about our next show. This one wont/cant be a rude one! I'm all ruded out (that IS a word)

This sunday, the 11th we're performing as part of the 3 Minute Theatre variety show, come along if you have chance. It starts at 8 and should be a nice relaxed evening of comedy and music.

We're also trying to put together a 'Best of Sketchy Theatre' show so let us know your favourite sketches.

Tonight's show went a million times better than we ever could have hoped! This was a good day for Sketchy Theatre! After the disastrous week we'd had we really thought tonight would be a shambles but with the help of Gina and John at 3 Minute Theatre we pulled it off!

Keeping the running order in my bra seemed to work a treat ;)

We're performing the same show at Sandbar on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th at 7 so try catching usthen  if you  missed tonights show.

Thank you so much for everyone's support tonight, we really appreciate it. Bring on the next show!

Procrastinating (Think that's how it's spelt??)

We really will do anything to avoid writing our last sketch...

We ended up watching documentaries about fat kids doing rock climbing, fat kids in beauty pageants and fat kids...general being fat. What is our problem with writng the final sketch? Maybe we're not meant to have another one, who knows. All we do know is that we need to stop watch fat kids on telly. Sky has 100s of channels, the choice is endless.

We also did this instead of writng the final dreaded sketch. We're sick, sick people

Does Valentines day mean 'dirty' day or lovey dovey day?

Almost everything for 'Love Factually' has been scripted now...exciting stuff. Time to learn it all now and inject some Sketchy Theatre-ness to it. I dont know why but before a show I'm always convinced I wont remember the lines. I'll watch a play think 'Oh my god, Im so impressed. I could never learn that many lines' even though I do it all the time! This show will be different, no line learning doubts.

Me and Beau bashed out three sketches this afternoon, all pervy. After this we promise to never write dirty, creepy things again. The boys keep reassuring me that because its a Valentines special that we can never be too dirty. Im unsure!

(even the word 'bashed' seems filthy after weeks of writng this show)

Remember, keep the 17th of feb free!

Why buy flowers when rohypnol is so cheap?

For more charming chat up lines then come to our Valentines' show... 'Love Factually' on Friday, 17th Feb at The 3 Minute Theatre, Afflecks Palace, Manchester. (I know its not for a while yet but we're gagging for a big audience!)

We've also just set up a facebook page...give us a 'like' if you, like.

Writing this blog kind of makes me feel like an American teenager.

We're begining to properly script the sketches for 'Love Factually' our Valentine's special. So far everythings way too perverted. We need to focus on the nicer things about romance...flowers, soppy songs, declarations of love. Instead we seem to have opted for subliminally dirty vicars, a gruff Yorkshireman who sells the most innapropriately disturbing cards you will ever read and drunk women crying about exes on dates. What is wrong with us?!

To conteract this we need to watch a lot of chick flicks...or anything with Julia Roberts and a stuttering English man

Hello and welcome to Sketchy Theatre!

Sketchy Theatre are a new sketch comedy group in Manchester. We write all our own material. You can catch us at The 3 Minute Theatre, Afflecks Palace.

Im Ilaria and I don't understand the internet...it kind of scares me.

We'll pop down our antics, ideas and general thoughts for your enjoyment (and mainly so I can begin to understand the modern world)

I WILL be a blog pro
